O'Malley Speaks at ABA Internatioanal Section Conference

C & P Partner, Nathan O'Malley, was recently asked to speak at the Fall gathering of the American Bar Association's International Law Section. Nathan participated as part of a panel presentation on the use of American evidentiary discovery rules, in particualar federal rule,  28 USC sec. 1782, in connection with international litigation and arbitration. He lined out a number of key points that litigants should take under  consideration when engaging in American discovery in aid to foreign proceedings. These points were largely taken from his own experience with such procedures. Other members of the panel included German, Dutch and American qualified attorneys and the session was attended by approximately 50 attendees from a wide range of jurisdictions. The ABA International Law Section is one of the premier organizations in North America promoting cooperation and education in the field of international legal practice.
